The objective for Catalyst Changers is zero harm from commencement to completion of every project.
Catalyst changeover in the Oil, Gas and Petro-Chemical sector will often require the necessity for skilled technicians properly trained and certified to conduct Inert Entry work.
From our inception Catalyst Changers has understood that to deliver Catalyst handling services we must have the right equipment on-hand to do the job safely, and the people using this equipment need to be fully trained to maximize its efficiency. As it should be – our largest operating expense is allocated to the equipment and training needed to foster a safer workplace. When it comes to staffing a specific project we will hand-pick technicians to ensure their training and expertise matches the work required. Nothing is left to chance, regardless of how big or small the job is perceived to be. It is a dangerous job that we do and we do everything possible to mitigate many of the risks that accompany this kind of work.
Our “Inert Entry” helmet system provides technicians with gas monitoring, state of the art video monitoring and data entry capability to ensure maximum safety.
We ensure that the appropriate people are trained in:
- confined space entry
- breathing apparatus (hard helmet and soft mask systems)
- skill-sets required to work in inert atmospheres
- torquing and tensioning
- advanced first aid and rescue techniques
- fall arrest and height safety training
- rigging and load lifting, and
- gas detection and monitoring
